Science Cafe about the brain | Science and Technology Week
Proaction Lab hosted together with CNC - Centre for Neuroscience and Cell Biology, its first science cafe, under the Science and Technology Week theme. The event "Brain: past, present and future" was held in Aqui Base Tango pub, with the goal to have an informal conversation about the challenges in neuroscience research, from old discoveries to new exciting possibilities. The event had two guests: André Peres, a post-doctoral researcher at the Proaction Lab, and Ana Luísa Cardoso, an assistant researcher at the CNC.
Proaction Lab Open Day | Science and Technology Week 2019
From 24th until 30th of November the Science and Technology Week is being celebrated in Portugal. To mark the occasion, the Proaction Lab had an Open Day, having received 21 curious participants. Three different groups had a guided tour and met our researchers.
Proaction Lab celebrates its 6th birthday
Our laboratory celebrates its 6th year of existence.
"We are very happy to celebrate this day." Jorge Almeida, the Proaction Lab director added. The laboratory had the chance to lunch together to commemorate the occasion and afterwards, they participated in a teambuilding activity called the "Secret Lab - 6th birthday competition".
Proaction's student helps to shine light on brain stimulation technique
A new study is adding knowledge on the use of a non-invasive brain stimulation technique that is being successful in motor activity studies.

What were the most fascinating scientific discoveries about the human brain in the past century? What questions is the neuroscientific community trying to answer today? And what would be the major breakthroughs in the future? This is the starting point of the science cafe Proaction Lab will be hosting later this month under the celebrations of the Science and Technology week 2019.
