Surviving the quarantine with the Proaction Lab: TV shows II

Some people enjoy a series so much that they cannot go by without watching one more episode! Do you know that sensation? Some TV shows can be pretty addictive, and with this isolation, you probably have the chance to watch a lot of episodes like never before. Here are the suggestions:

Mindhunter – You could think as this 2017 TV series as being another crime drama show, but with a different storyline and careful cinematography, it gets very unique. The series explores the development of the forensic psychology science itself taking its place in the late 1970s, and following FBI agents who start to understand the profiles of serial killers. Created by Joe Penhall, and produced by David Fincher and Charlize Theron (among others), the series has a typical atmosphere from Fincher’s signature. The main characters, portrayed by Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany, interview serial killers to solve cases. Instead of focusing on graphic violence, the show prefers to explore the minds of the killers, with an interesting colour scheme, soothing music and intelligent sequence that highlight the suspense.

Dollhouse – This sci-fi show looks into the ethical questions regarding cognitive skills transfer and the use of humans for exploitation. You have a mysterious organisation that implant false memories and special abilities in humans known as “Actives” or “Dolls”. Directed by Joss Whedon, Dollhouse tells the story of Echo, one of these dolls, that gradually realizes what is happening with her. Around the globe, there are several underground establishments called “Dollhouses” where the corporation keep the “Actives” living. Similarly to Westworld, where the androids were used for various purposes, in Dollhouse, the Actives are also hired for any service, that can go from heists, sexual encounters, assassinations etc.

So, have you had the chance to watch any of these shows? Perhaps you have others in mind that deal with psychology or cognition questions? Let us know. Enjoy and stay safe!
