Surviving the quarantine with the Proaction Lab: More Podcasts!

If we were in South Korea, this post would be useless because you would probably know what I would talk about. According to the Reuters Institute’s latest Digital News Report, 53% of the South Koreans are active podcast consumers. That's it: today we have two neuroscience podcast suggestions for you to fill the void when going to school, going for a walk or simply staying inside.

Powered by the University of Oxford, CortexCast is a young project that is aimed at interviewing leading neuroscientists. They usually discuss the latest techniques, the more recent challenges the neuroscience community is facing and sharing the guests' opinions on several topics, besides neuroscience of course. To this date, there are only 5 episodes that address sleep, the vision (yey!), hearing and pain perception. The episodes are available on their website and on iTunes.

Brain Inspired is a podcast by Paul Middlebrooks, a former neuroscientist studying visual decision-making in nonhuman primates. The podcast is quite specific: it covers mostly the interface between neuroscience and artificial intelligence. On Brain Inspired you can listen to the cutting-edge research in either neuroscience or artificial intelligence, the most recent scientific theories on these fields and get to know the experts behind them. You'll learn what they love the most on scientific research and what path lead them  where they are now. Brain Inspired is available on Spotify, iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher.
